Marmite Supper

I went back to the bar tonight at about midnight to find Beryl on her own apart from her Husband Randy. I stayed until 2am and not one single customer came in. My shift was quiet as well but at least I did not have a 2 hour interlude with no-one. That's January for you: a quiet time. Back home now I've got two slices of my bread toasting which I'm going to spread with good old Marmite and devour with gusto. The Chicken is all gone now and the bones and carcass have produced a very respectable soup (combined with a few vegetables and laced with a drop of Dry Sherry.)

Favio came in and Ana-Mary when she had finished work in El Bajondillo just after 1am and the Secret Admirer cropped up in conversation again. Apparantly she has a serious interest in me and my wellbeing. Nice to know. She has been talking to Ana-Mary about me by all accounts and I'm told that she is coming to the bar more often than is usual bearing in mind that she lives in Málaga City. I don't normally see the visits because she hasn't quite worked out that I'm only there until 9pm unless of course I go back later for a drink and some company (as I did tonight.)

Today is Austen's birthday of course so I'm hoping that the card I have sent has arrived in time but just in case not I'm going to txt him later this morning with a "Happy Birthday".
